Nikos Patias
Nikos Patias is a PhD student at the Geographic Data Science Lab at the University of Liverpool. He is currently working as a Policy Analyst at the Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities of the OECD. His research interests are: computational urban science, spatial inequalities and Geographic Information Science.

Dr. Francisco Rowe
Francisco Rowe is a Senior Lecturer in Human Quantitative Geography at the Department of Geography and Planning within the University of Liverpool, lead of the Geographic Data Science Lab. His areas of expertise are: internal & international migration; human mobility; and computational social science. He has been invited to present his research at the United Nations Population & Development Division in New York and works closely with the Global Migration Data Analysis Centre within International Organization for Migration, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the UK2070 Commission, UK’s government organisations, including the Ordnance Survey and the ONS Data Campus, and commercial companies, Geolytix. His work contributed to the United Nations Expert group meeting on `sustainable cities, human mobility and international migration', and the ONS Government Statistical Service Advisory Committee. Francisco is editor of REGION, the journal of the European Regional Science Association (2018-present) and social media editor at the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A (2021-present). The international reach of his research has been recognised by an award for the best paper published in Spatial Economic Analysis in 2018, editors’ choice article in the Journal of Geographical Systems, and having top articles in the top 10 most read articles in Spatial Economic Analysis (2017), Transportation Research Part C (2018) & Population Studies (2018).

Dr. Dani Arribas-Bel
Dani Arribas-Bel is senior lecturer in Geographic Data Science at the Department of Geography and Planning of the University of Liverpool. Prior to his appointment in 2015, he held positions at the University of Birmingham, the VU University in Amsterdam, Arizona State University, and Universidad de Zaragoza. He holds honorary positions at the University of Chicago’s Center for Spatial Data Science, the Center for Geospatial Sciences of the University of California Riverside, and the Smart Cities Chair of Universitat the Barcelona. His research combines urban studies, computational methods and new forms of data, and has been published in journals such as PLOS ONE, Journal of Urban Economics, Demography, Geographical Analysis, or Environment and Planning (A/B/C). He is member of the development team of PySAL, the Python library for spatial analysis, currently serves as co-editor of the journal “Environment and Planning B - Urban Analytics & City Science” and the “Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A - Statistics in Society”, and chairs the Quantitative Methods Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society.
Dr. Stefano Cavazzi
Stefano Cavazzi is Principal Innovation & Research Scientist at Ordnance Survey. He has more than ten years of experience in capturing, analysing and managing spatial data in a variety of sectors. Stefano developed the type of skills needed to assist organisations in exploiting the power of geospatial information.
